Gandhiji expressed this aspect eloquently in his writing in Harijan, dated March 25, 1939, “The satyagrahi’s object is to convert, not to coerce the wrong­doer”.

The main motto of the religion is "AHINSA" (Non-Violence) and this religion has quality of acceptance. As time passes one religion should posses the acceptance ability to exist in this society.

Even in Geeta Shri Krishna advocated the path of minimum violence to uphold Dharma. It is not always possible to eschew violence. One can not live life by running away from evil. There are situations when one has to fight to uphold Dharma.But it doesn't meant that non-violence has no future because before mahabharat Shri krishna tried his best to use non-violence.
